This election allowed the President-Elect to win not only in the Electoral College, but in the Popular Vote. That means the majority of Americans chose Donald Trump's Leadership over that of Kamala Harris. The Majority Win also means Democracy worked as it was intended.
Whether we like it or not, the promise of America still holds strong, for everyone. Though your choice may not have won, your voice was heard. Not winning isn't the same as being silenced. There is a difference.
The most disappointing result of this election, is watching adult human beings, in positions of immense power - those folks on national television - attempt the indoctrination of millions, by telling viewers to get ready for mass internment camps, death squads, etc. This is not only irresponsible, it is nothing more than an attempt to appear superior and admonish the majority. It is also highly insulting to Vice President Kamala Harris, specifically, watching media figures like Sonny Hostin of "The View" claim that a Black Woman in America with a Jewish Husband "Can't get elected President." Hostin claimed the election was a referendum on "Culture."
I don't believe it was, and I don't believe Hostin believes that either. Why did she say it? To keep the base rallying and to shrug off the truth - American voters want different leadership. Harris neglected her duty as Vice President, shielding the President from the use of the 25th Amendment. Biden's cognitive decline, witnessed by many for years, was overlooked and hidden by Harris, the Biden Family and members of the Biden Administration. Like Harris, the folks on shows like "The View" and others, refused to be responsible in their reporting of the matter.
There once was a responsibility inherent with the media - to speak truth and report facts - which, is no longer regarded as principle.
What Americans now call "News" is only a 24/7 for-profit media circus.
If you want facts, you now have to do your own research. Lets face it, many fail to do so.
I am confident in the fact that Internment Camps are a thing of the past. I am confident that America will survive.
What I would hope, is that the American people would finally realize that no law can be changed, no law can be created, unless it is done so by the United States Congress.
Our President has very little power, by design.
All the things you may be fearing right now, are only accomplished by a willing and able Congress.
When we have Term Limits and when Americans finally decide to demand real change - knowing that it is the members of Congress who dictate the majority of life-impacting regulation and law - it is only then that America will be able to hold our Representatives in Government accountable.
It is my hope that this President can lower daily costs to families, that with the support of Congress he can end and prevent War, that he can bring communities together, and that he can leave America better than he left it.
If you are rooting for anything else, you are rooting for the failure of America. If the President fails, by default, so do the American people.
I don't like Donald Trump's style of Leadership, but he will be our President on January 20th. For that reason, I hope he is successful in Reinvigorating the American Dream. I do not foresee Internment Camps, I do not foresee a reversal of the Same-Sex Marriage Law, and I do not see Death Squads in our future. I truly don't.
For 50 years of service, President Joe Biden should be commended.
For her service to California and the United States, Vice President Kamala Harris should be commended.
Now, we must look to the future.
God Bless the United States of America - yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
